Memorial Day and Living Lives of Dignity (20110530)

This week we celebrate Memorial Day.  A day set apart when we remember and reflect upon the lives of those brave men who served and died to promote freedom both here and throughout the world.  The lives we live and the freedoms we share here in these United States of America have been the envy of the world for many years now.  And we do well to stop and pay honor to our fallen heroes today.  But we do a far greater honor to live our lives in a manner that reflect the qualities of decency, dignity, nobility, to maintain a greater sense of community and cooperation as we humbly learn to serve one another in the spirit of those service men and women who died that we might live in a country such as these United States.  Anyone who has studied history knows that what America has enjoyed for so many years is rare indeed.  Mighty we keep our freedom free through living lives of dignity.
