I can remember when I was a much younger man and how I would, occasionally, look into the mirror over my sink in the bathroom and reflect on my many foolish words or actions. There was in my heart contempt for myself. My conduct and my words at times were far from being mature or loving to those closest around me. I had fallen so far short of what was acceptable. Sometimes the only thing I could muster up was judgment against myself. I wanted to be free. I wanted a second chance at getting things right.
Sometimes the people around us are slow to give us that second chance. Sometimes we are slow to really and truly give ourselves that second chance. But I have found One who lived and died to give us second chances. His name is Jesus. Hear his words, “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” (John 3:17, NIV).

Steve and Brenda,
I am so there with the both of you. I can not even begin to count the times… I am so filled with joy that the Lord has filled us with his grace, mercy and love. Sometimes second chances give both a new life and a new perspective. As a matter of fact, they always do, if we keep Jesus in view. I am so glad to share those second chances in Jesus with you both.
Love you,
Keith
