“The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29, NIV)
The awaited day has come. The formal hour of introduction has arrived. John the Baptist now introduces to the world, Jesus, saying, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!”
Just as a lamb was chosen at Passover to be slaughtered at the deliverance of Israel from its bondage to Egypt; just as the lambs were chosen daily to be an offering for Israel’s worship at the Tabernacle; John introduces Jesus as the Lamb of God that delivers us from sin and makes it possible for us to approach God in worship!
Behold, my friend, the Lamb of God! He has come to take away your sins that you might approach God in worship! Behold the Lamb – his name is Jesus!

Can you imagine the honor John must have felt to introduce, Jesus, the Lamb of God, to the world? I can’t wait to discuss the whole event with dear ole John when I get home!! Thanks Keith!

Brenda,
You know, in a way, we have that same honor to share Jesus with those around us who have never heard of him or who have never truly considered the good news that he brings to us.
Sharing about him with my church family and with those in our community is a great honor and I hope I serve him well in it. You are an encouragement to me in doing these things and I must say what a joy you are to me.
Love you with the love of Jesus,
Keith

You are so right Keith….and there are so many ways to “share” Jesus with those around us…..in our behavior, our speech, helping those in need (both physically and spiritually), and just sitting down and sharing what the Lord has done in your own life, actually talking about Jesus and the wonderful blessing his life and death brings to those who will accept him. It encourages me to hear a brother or sister in Christ talk about their experiences….I never tire of hearing those stories! And you, my brother, are like a breath of fresh air in my spiritual life….YOU are an encouragement to ME! Thank you for allowing me to walk with you on this, our journey HOME! Ron and I both love and appreciate you and your sweet family.
Love you brother,
Brenda
